As a teacher, the holidays are beyond busy! I try to plan activities that do not require any prep. I just don't have time to print in color, laminate or cut elaborate games and activities for my students. Instead, I like to use activities that I can just print and copy. I am not a worksheet kind of teacher so I need engaging printables that get the kids thinking, drawing, cutting and glueing.
In reading, I plan to read some of my very favorite holiday books. After I read, students will be completing interactive notebook pieces that review most of the skills we have practiced so far this year. All I have to do is print the page in black and white! They get to cut, glue, write and color!
